Step inside the Elmendorph Inn and experience a new exhibit exploring the building’s history as a tavern, gathering place, workplace, and center of community life.
Visitors can explore:
An immersive soundscape that follows the tavern through a full day of activity
Tabletop conversation prompts about food and drink, travel, news, politics, and daily life
Hands-on activities and reproduction objects
Stories of the people who worked, traveled, gathered, and did business here
A take-home tea and punch activity inspired by historic recipes
Admission is free. Drop in at any time during open hours.
This is exhibit is made possible with funding from Dutchess County for the 250th Anniversary of the American Revolution.
